Replacing crankshaft oil seal on the side of the pulley

Sealing flanges and flywheel
Fig. 2.137. Sealing flanges and flywheel: 1 - a bolt 90 Nm + to tighten on 1/4. (90 ?); 2 - the crankshaft sprocket; 3 - a bolt 15 Nm; 4 - gland; 5 - sealing flange; 6 - cylinder block; 7 - a bolt 60 Nm + to tighten on 1/4. (90 ?); 8 - the flywheel / clutch disc; 9 - intermediate plate; 10 - sealing flange with a sealing ring

Removal of the gland
Remove ribbed belt.
Remove the timing belt

Fixing crankshaft sprocket
Fig. 2.138. Fixing crankshaft sprocket

Remove the crankshaft sprocket. To do this, lock the crankshaft gear using a counter support (Fig. 2.138).

Installation of the central bolt
Fig. 2.139. Installation of the central bolt

To enter the gland screw puller central bolt in the crankshaft to the stop by hand (Fig. 2.139).
Remove the inner part of oil seal extractor nine turns (about 20 mm) of the outer part and lock the knurled screw.
Lubricate threaded head of a stripper with engine oil, install and press down firmly, screw it as deeply as possible in the packing.

Turning the inside of the puller
Fig. 2.140. Turning the inside of the puller

Loosen knurled screw and turn inner part of extractor against crankshaft until the oil seal is not stretched (Fig. 2.140).

Install the gland
Remove the remaining oil on the crank pin of the crankshaft with a clean cloth.

Setting the guide bushing
Fig. 2.141. Setting the guide bushing

Install the guide bushing on the crank pin of the crankshaft (Fig. 2.141).
Push dry gland through the guide sleeve on the crankshaft.

Zapresovka gland
Fig. 2.142. Zapresovka gland

Fitting the seal using the assembly tool and screw (M16x1,5x60) until it stops (Fig. 2.142).
Install the crankshaft gear and secure it with counter support (Fig. 2.138).

NOTE
On the faying surfaces between the drive gear and gear belt crankshaft should not be an oil.
Central bolt should be replaced.
The threads and the bead should be oil and grease.

Tighten the new bolt with a torque of 90 Nm and tighten on 90 ? (1/4 turn) (dovorachivanie allowed to carry out in several stages).
Further installation and assembly is performed in reverse sequence to removal.
