Dropping the pressure in the fuel system of a gasoline engine, the fuel filling path

Before you get started, read the materials of the section Safety and general rules adopted in the service component of fuel paths of internal combustion engines.

Pressure Relief

In the course of the described procedures only reset the excess pressure in the path of the power supply system, while continuing to fill the fuel gas will be ? under some residual excess pressure - before disconnecting the fuel lines take appropriate precautions!

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Start the engine.
  1. Lift the rear seat, fold the rectangular flap panel carpet and disunite a socket (2) electrical fuel pump (1) in the service box, the floor panel.
  1. Wait for spontaneous stop the motor, then switch off the ignition and restore initial connection of wiring.
  2. Lower the rear seat in position.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. After performing maintenance on a vehicle associated with the need to drop the pressure in the supply system before the first start in order to prevent the need for excessively long crank the engine should be performed pre-filling of the fuel path.
  1. With the help of a suitable bridge between a short-circuit terminal 1 (FUEL PUMP) and 5 (B) of the diagnostic socket DLC, - the connector is placed in the engine compartment, fixed to a casing of an air cleaner and is equipped with a hinged protective cover.
  1. Make a 10-second (max) switching on the ignition with the purpose of short-term activation of the fuel pump, - the ignition switch for more than 10 seconds, it runs the risk of overheating the dangerous bridge.
  2. Turn off the ignition and remove the jumper. Inspect the fuel path components for signs of leaks. If necessary, make appropriate corrections.
