Box of differential and distributing box: Oil change



On vehicles with all-wheel drive is necessary to change the oil in the box and the differential in the transfer case. Spare parts need the following:

  • Gasket oil filler and oil drain plugs.
  • Gear oil specification: a temperature above -18 ?� C: API GL - 5 SAE 90; the temperature below -18 ?� C: API GL - 5 SAE 80.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Raise the vehicle in a horizontal position.
  2. If present, remove the shield of the engine and gearbox.
  3. Perform a visual check of tightness of the transfer case.
  1. Remove the oil filler plug -B-.
  1. Remove the oil drain plug and drain the oil -A- up until it begins to drip. Install the oil drain plug with a new seal and tightened to 55 Nm.
  2. Pour about 0, 5 liters of transmission oil and check the level of your finger. The level should be at the lower edge of the filler hole.
  3. Install the oil filler plug with a new seal and tightened to 55 Nm.
  4. If there is, install shield engine and gearbox.
  5. Lower the vehicle.

Rear Differential

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Raise the vehicle in a horizontal position.
  2. Visually check the tightness of the rear axle.
  1. Remove the oil filler plug -B-.
  1. Remove the oil drain plug and drain the oil -A- up until it begins to drip. Install the oil drain plug with a new seal and tightened to 55 Nm.
  2. Pour about 0.65 liters of transmission oil and check the level of your finger. The level should be at the lower edge of the filler hole.
  3. Install the oil filler plug with a new seal and tightened to 55 Nm.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
