Checking the exhaust system



PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The check should be carried out when the engine is cold, so it's best to do it before the first day of the current trip or not earlier than three hours after the engine is switched off. Sway Check the condition of the exhaust system, from the engine to the exhaust outlet. Ideally, this test should be performed at elevated to winch the car when from below to it there is free access. 2. The diesel engine: Remove the bottom cover of the engine, refer to Section Checking the engine by means of the vacuum gauge.
3. Check the pipes and pipe fittings for signs of leaks, strong corrosion and damage. Check the condition and reliability of fastening of all brackets and hangers system.

4. At the same time check the bottom of the car in the presence of holes, corrosion, dispersed seams and the other defects that allow the penetration of exhaust gases into the interior of the vehicle. Seal all openings suitable sealant.

5. Light the lamp and the exhaust system examined for the presence of holes, rusted places and chafing.
6. If you have severe dents, replace the exhaust system.

7. Check all rubber holders, turning and rotating them for cracks and replace if necessary. In the accompanying illustrations shows the rubber holder (1) and (2) of the main silencer (3).

8. Petrol engine: Check the electrical connection and reliable fastening of the lambda probe.
9. Diesel: Replace the bottom cover of the engine, refer to Section Checking the engine by means of the vacuum gauge.
10. Inspection of the inner surface of the exhaust pipe to determine the current operating condition of the engine. The composition of the sediments in a pipe speaks about quality motor settings. If the pipe is black inside and zakopch?�nnaya, it may indicate that you need to carefully check the fuel system.
11. Lower the car on wheels.
