Maturity indicator scheduled maintenance (ASSYST)




Service intervals are indicated on the digital display located on the dashboard. The first indication of a need for service occurs approximately one month or 3000 km before the current term maintenance.

TO indication on the universal display appears automatically after switching on the ignition or when driving.

Following message may appear:

?�SERVICE A?� ?�IN xx DAYS?� (LIST SERVICE IN A ... THROUGH xx days)
?�SERVICE A?� ?�IN xx KM?� (LIST SERVICE IN A ... after run xx KM)
?�SERVICE A?� ?�EXCEEDED BY xx DAYS!?� (LIST SERVICE IN A ... overdue twentieth day!)
?�SERVICE A?� ?�EXCEEDED BY xx KM!?� (LIST SERVICE IN A ... overdue xx KM!)
?�SERVICE A?� ?�CARRY OUT!?� (SERVICE ON THE LIST TO SPEND A ...!)

Indication ?�SERVICE A?� (LIST SERVICE IN A) or ?�SERVICE B?� (SERVICE IN LIST B) provide information about what it should accomplish.

Depending on the style of driving period TO is indicated in days or in kilometers (km).

If the duration of the MOT expired, further comprising a sound signal.

Display automatically turns off after 30 seconds or by pressing the reset button on the dashboard (Section 9 of Chapter "Controls and receptions of safe operation").

Resetting the display after maintenance

The key in the ignition switch, turn to position 1.

Reset button on the dashboard (Section Instrument panel), press and hold for about 2 seconds.

At the universal display prompts:

?�DO YOU WANT TO RESET SERVICE INTERVAL??� ?�CONFIRM BY PRESSING R?� (whether you want to start a new frame of reference that? - Confirm the reset button).

Reset button on the dashboard, press again, the display period TO is reset.

The indication that with the new countdown runs from the start.

If you reset the indicator THAT was made erroneously, the actualization of the indicator can be made at the station ?�Mercedes -Benz?�.

Indication of the level of motor oil

When checking the oil level the vehicle must be in a horizontal position.

Checking the oil level spend about 5 minutes after the warm up to operating temperature.

LEVEL! ?�(Accurate measurement is only possible HORIZONTAL POSITION OF THE CAR!) This display only appears as a reminder; if the car is not in the horizontal position, the measurement can be interrupted by pressing or . If the measurement is not interrupted, then it will lead to erroneous measurements - Bring the vehicle to a horizontal position and repeat the measurement.

If the message ?�ENGINE OIL LEVEL?� ?�SWITCH ON IGNITION!" (Level of motor oils - switch off the ignition!), Then key in the ignition switch is not in position 2.

After about 3 seconds the indication ?�ENGINE OIL LEVEL?� ?�MEASURING NOW!?� (Level of motor oils - MEASUREMENT IS!)

The display may appear the following indication:

?�ENGINE OIL LEVEL?� ?�DC" (OIL LEVEL OF MOVEMENT IN NORMAL)

Topping up oil is required.

?�ENGINE OIL LEVEL?� ?�ADD 1,0 LITER!?� (Level of motor oils - Top up 1.0 liters of oil!)
?�ENGINE OIL LEVEL?� ?�ADD 1,5 LITER!?� (Level of motor oils - Top up 1.5 liters of oil!)
?�ENGINE OIL LEVEL?� ?�ADD 2,0 LITER!?� (Level of motor oils - Top up 2.0 liters of oil!)
?�ENGINE OIL LEVEL?� ?�REDUCE OIL LEVEL!?� (LEVEL engine oil - REDUCE OIL LEVEL!) Appears only when at operating temperature engine.

Excess oil must be drained or pumped out. There is a risk of damage to the engine or catalytic converter.
?�WAITING TIME?� ?�OBSERVE!?� (Soak TIME OUT!)

This display appears if not taken into account the required waiting time after switching off the engine.

After switching off the engine soak the following times:

??? When heated to the operating temperature of the engine - about 5 minutes;
?� When it is cold to working temperature engine - up to 30 minutes.

Measuring the oil level again after an appropriate waiting time.

If the universal display with the engine running the indication level of the motor oil - see. "The system of warning and alarm malfunctions" (Section Warning signal and warning lights, as well as reports on the information display for the fault).

The oil level can not be controlled with the engine running, the indication ?�ENGINE OIL LEVEL?� ?�NOT WHEN ENGINE ON?� (NOT control the level of engine oil engine running).

On models with four-cylinder gasoline engine oil level can also be measured dipstick (refer to Section Check of levels of liquids, the control of leaks).
