Checking the oil level automatic transmission



Check the fluid level

The marks on the dipstick automatic transmission fluid.

A - an oil temperature of 25 ?� C B - at a temperature of 80 ?� C

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The fluid level in automatic transmission is measured when the engine and gearbox. To warm up the power unit to the desired temperature, you can take a short (15 kilometers) a trip.
2. Place the vehicle on a level surface, securely tighten the brake. For reliable fixation sheet under the wheels of the vehicle backup.
3. Start the engine and leave it idling. Press the brake pedal and gently move the selector from position P to position 1, then back to R.
4. The probe measure the level of liquid is located at the rear of the gearbox. Before removing the probe, thoroughly clean the area around it. Dirt inside the box is not allowed.

5. Remove the dipstick and cloth Remove all traces of fluid. Replace the dipstick and remove again. The fluid level must be between the mark on the dipstick.

If you measure the level when cold powertrains, the result will be lower than the real one. Be sure to check the level of the engine is warm, as the maximum permissible level of fluid can lead to damage of the box.

6. Topping up fluid through the well of the probe. Do not allow dirt inside the box. Top up only fresh liquid, and only through the funnel (preferably filtered).
7. The fluid top up small amounts, continuously checking the level.
8. Once you have restored the level of liquid in the box, return the probe in place and stop the engine.
9. If you have to frequently refill the liquid into a box, it means that somewhere there is a leak. Immediately remove it.
