Removal, installation and adjustment of doors



The front doors

Refitting

A door assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) activate the service mode of the emergency call TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  1. Turn on the auxiliary battery and connect it to a standard battery, then disconnect the negative cable last.

    7 - Auxiliary battery

  1. Remove the appropriate side repeater indicators (E22 / E22 or 1/2) and disunite its electrical connector (1).
  2. Uncover the left or right (depending on which of the doors will be removed) under the dashboard (see. Section Removal and installation of the lower instrument panel covers).
  3. Detach the carpet (2) of the pillar in front footswitch well.
  4. And at the front in the corresponding footswitch pit disunite the door wiring connector (x35 / x35 or 41/42).
  5. Remove the corresponding contact elements of leveling the ground potential connecting pads (3).
  6. And at the front into the sheath ground wire, remove the pit side repeater indicators.
  7. Release the rubber sleeve passage (4) of the door assembly and of the pillar - the damaged hose must be replaced.
  8. Release of the pillar wiring harness door, - try to remember the route of the spit.
  9. Support the door and remove the screws fixing the bottom (5) and upper (6) loops.
  10. Remove the door.
  11. Installation is performed in reverse order - do not forget to adjust the door (see. Below).
  12. On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) deactivate service mode of TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  13. Finally, make the DTC reading and clearing of system memory on-board self-diagnostic scanner using STAR DIAGNOSIS (6511 1801 00) (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

The door exploded

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Follow the procedures 1 and 2 (see. Above).
  2. Remove the interior door trim (see. Section Removal and installation of an internal upholstery of door assemblies).
  3. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the door loudspeaker.
  4. Remove the door control module (see chap. Onboard electric equipment).
  5. Carefully remove the insulating coating film door - in the case of damage to the film must be replaced to prevent the ingress of moisture into the cabin.
  6. Disconnect the connector (1) electrical door mirrors.
  7. Liberate from clamps and disunite sockets (2) of the door wiring - try to remember the route of the spit.
  8. Release the rubber sleeve passage (3) of the door assembly and of the pillar - the damaged hose must be replaced.
  9. Release wiring harness of door assembly.
  10. Support the door and remove the screws fixing the bottom (5) and upper (4) loops.
  11. Remove the door.
  12. Installation is performed in reverse order - do not forget to adjust the door (see. Below).
  13. On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) deactivate service mode of TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  14. Finally, make the DTC reading and clearing of system memory on-board self-diagnostic scanner using STAR DIAGNOSIS (6511 1801 00) (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Loosen the screws that secure the bottom (1) and top (2) loops. Also loosen the screws that secure the locking wedge (3).
  2. Adjust the position of the door opening in the touring car, ensuring that the gap was the same around the perimeter and the surface of the door in the closed position of the latter is flush with the surrounding bodywork elements, - if necessary, enclose a loop shims or remove any.
  3. Having achieved the desired result, tighten the screws fastening loops (4 and 5) and the locking wedge (3).
  4. Lubricate the locking mechanism and make sure the smooth closing of the door.
  5. Finally, touch up the screw heads.

Rear doors

The procedure is similar to the procedure described above for the front door except for the actions associated with disconnecting the wiring and door mirrors indicator lights.

Adjustment

The order of the adjustment rear door is completely analogous to that described above for the front.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Follow the procedures of paragraphs 1 and 2 of subsection front door.
  2. Remove the spare tire.
  3. On models corresponding complete set (codes V53 and V57), remove the luggage compartment cover (A).
  4. On models corresponding complete set (code V53) Remove the cover (B) of the side storage compartment, then turn the mounting screw (D) and separate storage compartment (C) from the back of the rack.
  5. Remove the rack from the back protector (4) of the left edge of the doorway.
  6. Remove the cover (E) left-pillar trim.
  7. Release the clip (1) of the door wiring harness.
  8. Release the recoil spring (2).
  9. Remove the fasteners securing the entrance of the tube (5) wiring.
  10. Remove the interior door trim (see. Section Removal and installation of an internal upholstery of door assemblies).
  11. Disconnect the wiring connector of the electric motor driving the rear wiper, - mark the wires, try to remember the route of the harness.
  12. Disconnect the wiring connector of the rear screen - mark the wires, try to remember the route of the harness.
  13. Release the wiring from the door assembly.
  14. Release the fasteners and remove the door from its opening stroke limiter (6).
  15. Hold the door, remove the screws fixing the upper (7) and lower (8) loops.
  16. Remove the door.
  17. Installation is performed in reverse order - do not forget to adjust the door (see. Below).
  18. On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) deactivate service mode of TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  19. Finally, make the DTC reading and clearing of system memory on-board self-diagnostic scanner using STAR DIAGNOSIS (6511 1801 00) (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the tailgate ball pin (1).
  2. Remove the tailgate lock striker (2).
  3. Remove the latch body parts (3).
  4. On models 463.246 / 250, follow the procedures of paragraphs and and remove the battery cover.
  5. Remove the interior tailgate trim (see. Section Removal and installation of an internal upholstery of door assemblies).
  6. Releasing fasteners, adjust the position of the door opening in the touring car in accordance with the same criteria that are valid for the side doors (see. Paragraph Also, adjust the position of the striker (6) by podstukivaniya his hammer at the released hardware.
  7. Installing components made in the reverse order of dismantling, - do not forget to properly adjust the position of the striker (2) and the latch (3).

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Expand aside spare wheel holder.
  2. Open the flap (2).
  3. Open the cover (5) Release the clips and remove the insert (6) tool compartment.
  4. Disconnect the connector (M14 / 7x1) electric motor activator of the uniform lock.
  5. Using steel wire or screwdriver with a narrow connector terminals (7).
  6. On the left in the frame tailgate disconnect the terminal (8) from the connector (9) contact the gauge-switch - again, use a wire or a narrow screwdriver, after removing the plastic cap (10) and release the latch.
  7. Release of the board (2), both the wiring harness (11).
  8. Close the lid (5) tool compartment.
  9. Remove the screws (1) securing the travel stops opening side, - the bolts must be replaced without fail.
  10. Close the board - try not to pinch the wiring (11).
  11. Remove the hinge screws (3), and open the board (2) and remove it from the car - you can use the help of an assistant.
  12. Installation is in the reverse order - to facilitate wiring grease filling grommets soap.
  13. Finally, make the adjustment board (See below.)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Release the clip (1) spare wheel bracket and remove it from the ball head (2).
  2. Loosen the hinge bolts (3).
  3. Fold the side and loosen the screws of the locking wedge (4).
  4. Tighten the bolts (3) and (4) so that there was a possibility of adjusting the position of recorded components by podstukivaniya hammer.
  5. Close the board and make sure uniform gap (A, B and C) of its landing in touring car doorway. Also make sure that the upper edge of the side (D & E) closes flush with the surrounding body panels.
  6. If necessary Adjust landing hinges and locking wedge.
  7. Finally, do not forget to tighten the fixing bolts.
