Check the fluid level of steering hydrostrengthening

Twice a year or every 10,000 kilometers (whichever comes first)

Periodically check the fluid level in the system hydrostrengthening steering to avoid potential problems with driving, such as damage to the steering pump. Proceed as follows.

Do not hold the steering wheel is turned all the way in one direction or another for more than five seconds. It can damage the steering pump.

On some models, the reservoir system hydrostrengthening wheel is located in the left side of the engine compartment and has a screw cap with a built-in measuring probe her. On the other models use the system hydrostrengthening and vacuum amplifier having a common reservoir, located in the right rear corner of the engine compartment.

The tank with liquid system hydrostrengthening booster (arrow) is located in the left side of the engine compartment.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Park the vehicle on level ground, and cock a lay brake.
  2. On models with built-in stylus, start the engine and warm it up to normal temperature. With the engine idling, turn the steering wheel from lock to lock several times to remove air from the steering system. Turn off the engine, remove the cover of the tank by turning it counterclockwise, wipe the dipstick dry and close the lid. Re-open the cover and check the fluid level. It should be between the two marks.

The liquid level hydrostrengthening steering system must be maintained between the two arrows at the top of the projection of the probe.

  1. On models with a vacuum booster depress the brake pedal ten times or until until it begins to "resist." Give a nut, remove the cover and make sure the fluid level is not lower than 6.0 mm from the top of the tank.
  2. Add a liquid in small doses until it reaches the desired level.
Topping up the fluid in the reservoir system hydrostrengthening steering.

Do not overfill the fluid. If this happened, remove the excess clean syringes. Close the lid.

  1. If you want to frequent topping up, check the hoses and couplings hydrostrengthening steering system for signs of wear and leaks (see. Section Check and replacement of hoses of the engine compartment).
  2. Check the condition and tension of the belt (see. Section Condition check, adjustment of a tension and replacement drivers belts).
