A warning

This description does not apply to vehicles equipped with an air bag.


WITHOUT POWER STEERING

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the front of the car and establish on supports.
2. Remove both wheels.
3. Set the wheels in driving position on a straight line.
4. Rasshplintuyte and release nut steering rod, press out the hinge of a tip, unscrew the nut.
5. Disconnect the other tie rod.
6. Inside the engine compartment, unscrew nuts (are specified by arrows) and pull the cover of the universal joint.
7. Designate mutual position of the pivot shaft and the steering mechanism, release the bolt (arrow) and remove the hinge.
8. Remove the bolts and remove an arm of the steering mechanism.
9. Remove the steering through the right wheel niche (in A / m RHD) or lift the steering and remove from the engine compartment (on the a / m LHD).

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check for signs of wear or damage.
2. Check the freedom of movement of the rack, make sure there is no backlash and binding.
3. Trust for deformation and damage the rail.
4. Check the covers.
5. Check the play in the rod tips.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Align the steering gear.
2. To determine the number of revolutions of the shaft between the extreme positions of slats.
3. From the extreme position the rack, unscrew the shaft half this speed.
4. Establish a mechanism and brackets, tighten the bolts.
5. Attach the universal joint, align the label (if set to remove the mechanism).
6. Put the cover, the frame and tighten the nut.
7. Attach the pivot rod and screw the nut.
8. Tighten the nut and zashplintuyte.
9. Connect the second draft.
10. Establish wheels and lower the car.

Power steering gear

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the front of the car and establish on supports.
2. Remove both wheels.
3. Remove the fitting (arrow) on the steering mechanism and drain fluid.
4. Remove the front exhaust pipe.
5. Remove the nut, press out the tip, and disconnect the tie rod.
6. Remove the second tie rod.
7. Inside the engine compartment, unscrew the nuts and pull the cover of the universal joint.
8. Designate mutual position of the pivot shaft and the steering mechanism, release the bolt and remove the hinge.
9. Remove the bolts clamp bracket on the left side (indicated by arrows).
10. Remove the bolts clamp bracket on the right side (indicated by arrows).
11. Remove the steering brackets.
12. Remove the steering mechanism on the left side of the car.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clean and inspect for signs of wear or damage.
2. Believe the presence of deformation and damage the rail.
3. Check the covers.
4. Check the clearance in the rod tips.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Align the steering gear.
2. To determine the number of revolutions of the shaft between the extreme positions of slats.
3. From the extreme position the rack, unscrew the shaft half this speed.
4. Establish a mechanism and brackets of the available marks, tighten the bolts.

A warning

First, slightly tighten the lower bracket bolt, and then tighten the remaining bolts and tighten in the sequence shown.

5. Install the front exhaust pipe.
6. Attach the universal joint, align the label (if set to remove the mechanism).
7. Tighten the bolt.
8. Attach the cover, frame and tighten the nut.
9. Attach the hinge rod and screw the nut.
10. Tighten the nut and zashplintuyte.
11. Attach the second draft.
12. Attach the hook.
13. Install the wheel, Bleed the (see. Subpart 12.14).
14. Lower the car.
