Checking cylinder



After disassembly of the engine clean and rinse the cylinder block by soaking it in a bath of cleaning solution. Then wash it with a jet of the same solution under pressure to clean the oil channels. Blow dry and the engine block with compressed air, especially system of oil channels. Inspect the unit. If the crankshaft bearings or other places there are cracks, the unit must be replaced. On the surface of the cylinder should be no signs of wear, cracks, scratches, corrosion. Small scratches can be polished, in other cases it is necessary to chisel cylinders under the repair size.

Under oversize need to chisel all four cylinders, even if signs of wear, scratches and so on. D. There are only one cylinder.


After honing the bore to make the surface of the cylinder. Check the tightness of the cooling jacket.
