Adjustment of backlashes between cams of a cam-shaft and levers of valves
Counting from Timing:
- Valves number 1, 3, 5, 7, - inlet; - Valves number 2, 4, 6, 8 - outlet. Valve clearance engine is cold (coolant temperature below 35 ? C) are:
- The inlet valve of 0.10 ? 0.05 mm; - Exhaust valve 0.20 ? 0.05 mm. Valve clearance on hot engine (coolant temperature 80 ? C) are:
- The inlet valve of 0.15 ? 0.05 mm; - Exhaust valve 0.25 ? 0.05 mm.
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Remove the cover 5 (see. Fig. The cylinder head) of the head unit. | 2. Rotate the crankshaft so that both the cam on the camshaft checked the cylinder have been directed upwards. | 3. probe to measure the gap between the camshaft and cam lever 10 of the valve (see. Fig. Camshaft and valves). | 4. If the clearance is different from the above, the rotation of the adjusting bolt 9 to set the required clearance. The gap is considered to be set correctly, if the probe is moving with a noticeable effort. | 5. In the same manner to adjust the gaps remaining cylinders. | 6. Install the cylinder head cover. |
