Check, removal and installation of the traction relay of a starter
Check and removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Remove the starter. | 2. Using additional wires of large cross section, connect the starter to the negative battery terminal and the positive terminal of the battery connected to the terminal 50. | 3. If the starter drive gear is moved forward, but the starter motor does not rotate, then the starter motor is defective or burned contacts of the traction relay. | 4. If the gear does not move forward the starter, then breaks down the traction relay and must be replaced. | 5. Remove the nut and disconnect the cable from the starter motor to the bottom contact of the traction relay. | 6. Unscrew and remove the traction relay from a starter. |

Setting
PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. Apply a thin coat of sealant to the surface of the traction relay interfaced with the starter (F). | 2. Engage the anchor of the traction relay of the control lever, and then screw in the screws that secure the traction relay to the starter. | 3. Connect the motor starter to the bottom contact of the traction relay and secure it. | 4. Check the operation of the traction relay. | 5. Install the starter. |
