Parking brake

The parking brake is actuated by lifting up the lever 1 (Fig. 1.20). When the vehicle is parked on sloping surfaces it is recommended in addition to the parking brake first gear or set the selector of an automatic transmission in the park position. The parking brake lever must always be tightened up to the stop.
When tightened lever 1 and the ignition switched on in the instrument cluster warning light turn on the parking brake.
To turn off the parking brake lever to lift one up, press 2 and then lower the lever down until it stops.
