Replacement of the gland of the front cover of the crankshaft



Removal of the gland of the front cover of the crankshaft in the following order:
- The engine AFN remove the top casing of the engine;
- Disconnect the plug from the solenoid valve stops the engine;
- Drain the engine oil from the engine;
- Remove the plastic air ducts located in the area of the right front wheel;
- Remove the auxiliary drive belts;
- Remove the auxiliary drive belt pulleys, timing belt and timing belt pulley with the crankshaft;
- Remove the oil pan;

- Gradually and consistently unscrew bolts of the front cover 11 (see. Fig. 3.69.) Of the crankshaft;
- Turning around the crankshaft 11, the front cover and remove it along with the gland with the engine block;
- Remove the front crankshaft sealing ring with a screwdriver.
The installation of the gland of the front cover of the crankshaft in the following order:
- Clean the mating surface of the front cover of the crankshaft and the engine block of traces pads;

A WARNING
Check the front cover for cracks or deformation. If damage is found of such cover should be replaced

- Lubricate the surface of the new O-ring with engine oil;
- Using bar (see. Sec. 3.3.13), set the ring in the front cover of the crankshaft;
- Apply to the mating surface of the cylinder a thin layer of sealant and install the gasket on the engine block of the front cover of the crankshaft;
- To protect against mechanical damage to the surface of a forward sealing ring of the crankshaft Wrap insulating tape front end of the crankshaft;
- Lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil;
- Pressing in the axial direction and swinging the cover from side to side on the front cover of the crankshaft;
- Insert the bolts of the front cover of the crankshaft, and their uniform shade the set torque;
- Install the oil pan;
- Installation remove components made in sequence, return to removal.
