To synchronize the crank and gas distributing mechanisms in the assembly of the engine before removing or installing the front of the cylinder head installation perform number 1 cylinder piston at TDC compression stroke and the corresponding rotation angle (position cam) camshaft. Installation is carried out on the marks on the flywheel. To access it, remove the plug clutch. Rotate the crankshaft pulley bolt for the key to align the marks on the flywheel and clutch housing (Fig. 3.61).
To lock the camshaft pulley and injection pump (pump) at positions corresponding to TDC number 1 cylinder piston using special tools.
Locking of rotation of the camshaft is carried out in the following order:
- Set the number 1 cylinder piston to TDC;

- Lock the camshaft 2 (Fig. 3.62) a special device 1;
- Turn the camshaft so that one end of the device 1 is based on the cylinder head and zmerte gap between it and the second end of the device using the stylus;
- Insert the probe into the gap with a thickness equal to half of the measured gap;
- Turn the camshaft so that the end of the tool was based on the probe;
- Insert the probe of the same thickness on the other side of the device.

After blocking the camshaft sprocket lock 2 (Fig. 3.63) by turning the special pump rod 1, which screw into the hole of the front mounting bracket 3 pump.
