Toothed timing belt
Removing the toothed timing belt is performed in the following order: - Disconnect the connector from the solenoid valve stop the engine; - Remove the air filter; - Haute remove the engine cover (engine AFN);
| Fig. 3.64. Details of the timing: 1 - the lower timing cover; 2 - the crankshaft pulley; 3 - accessory drive belt; 4 - bolt crankshaft pulley; 5 - bolt crankshaft pulley; 6 - toothed timing belt; 7 - a tension roller toothed timing belt; 8 - a bolt of fastening of a tension roller; 9 - the bolts of the upper timing cover; 10 - the upper timing cover; 11 - Back Cover timing; 12 - Rear pump mounting bracket; 13 - pump; 14 - front bracket fuel pump; 15 - a gear pump pulley; 16 - a pulley of an intermediate shaft; 17 - a bolt of fastening of a pulley of an intermediate shaft; 18 - a gear pulley of a cranked shaft; 19 - the lower timing cover (for the fully closed actuator); 20 - the upper timing cover (for the fully closed actuator); 21 - Back Cover timing (for the fully closed actuator)

- Remove the metal spring clip and plastic caps or bolt 9 (Fig. 3.64) fixing the upper timing cover and remove the top cover 10 or 20; - Remove the accessory drive belt; - Remove the bolts of the water pump pulley and remove the pulley; - Set the number 1 cylinder piston at TDC compression stroke (see. Sect. 3.3.3); - Unscrew 4 screws attaching the crankshaft pulley and remove the pulley 2; - Unscrew and remove the bottom cover bracket 1 and 19 timing. Engine AAZ:

|
- Check the high pressure pump pulley fixing the locking rod 1 (see. Fig. 3.63); - Unscrew the external pump pulley bolts half a turn;
A WARNING Do not remove the central pulley bolt pump, as it will change the installation of the fuel injection timing. |
- Loosen the tension of the toothed belt 6 (see. Fig. 3.64) the timing, turned away a bolt of fastening of a tension roller 8. The rest of the engines: - Unscrew a bolt of fastening of a tension roller 8 and remove the tension roller 7 toothed timing belt. All engines: - Check the direction of the marker toothed belt 6 at the timing when it will be re-installed; - Remove the timing belt 6 timing. After removing the toothed belt check. If there is wear, delamination and other damage to the belt should be replaced. In the presence of engine oil on the belt is necessary to find the leak and fix this leak. Installing toothed timing belt is performed in the following order:

|
- Loosen the screw 1 (Fig. 3.65) fastenings camshaft sprocket half a turn; - Remove the timing pulley 2 camshaft with a camshaft adjusting cone 4 by knockout, passed through a hole in the back of the timing; - Set the toothed belt 6 (see. Fig. 3.64) on the sprocket 18 of the crankshaft, sprocket 15 and a gear pump pulley 2 (see. Fig. 3.65) of a camshaft; - Set the toothed belt 6 on the flat side of the pulley 16, an intermediate shaft and a tension roller 7. All engines except AAZ - Set guide roller toothed belt to the rear timing cover and tighten a bolt of its fastening; Engine AAZ - Tighten the outer bolts pump pulley; All engines: - Remove the locking rod 1 (see. Fig. 3.63) injection pump pulley; - Make sure that the right branch leading toothed timing belt passing through the injection pump pulley and the intermediate shaft, stretched, and led to the branch of a belt tensioner pulley - sags; - Pull the timing belt tensioner pulley Timing povrotom clockwise and tighten the bolt tensioning pulley on the engine or with semi-automatic tensioning toothed belt turn tension roller 7 to 8 combination of labels on a roll, and the hub of the tensioner; - Check toothed belt tension by turning the branch between the camshaft sprocket and the injection pump. The belt should be rotated at an angle of 90 ?. If he turns to a smaller angle, you must loosen the tension, if more - tighten the belt; - Tighten the bolt of camshaft sprocket to 45 Nm;

- Rotate the crankshaft two full turns clockwise and re-install the piston cylinder number 1 at TDC of the compression stroke, make sure that the locking rod 1 (see. Fig. 3.63) can be freely set in the hole injection pump pulley; - Check and adjust if necessary toothed timing belt; - Set the bottom 1 or 19 (see. Fig. 3.64), and the top 10 or 20, timing cover; - Install the water pump pulley and tighten its mounting; - Set the pulley 2 of the crankshaft 4 and tighten its mounting; - Set the belt drive auxiliary units 3 and adjust its tension; - Connect the connector stop solenoid valve of the engine; - Check the fuel injection timing.
