Check and adjustment of CO



Since the CO and the number of turns of idling influence together, checked and adjusted at the same time they need.

During the test of idling and the maintenance WITH the fan heat sink should not be included. If the fan is on, wait until it turns off.

Conditions: Check exhaust system for this to close the rear exhaust pipe with a cloth. All pipe connections must be tight.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check backlash rods and shafts on the carburetor, if necessary, repaired or adjusted.
  2. Warm up and switch off the engine. The lower radiator hose to be warm.
  3. Turn off electricity consumers.
  4. Check ignition timing and adjust if necessary.
  5. The air filter element must be clean. Adjustment is best done with a new filter element.
  6. Connect the tachometer and measuring instrument CO according to the instructions, the air filter to leave screwed.
  7. Run the engine warm and leave to idle.
  8. Check the tightness of the intake tract. To do this, apply to all compounds of the intake system gasoline with a brush If the number of turns increases, at some time, then, the engine draws the outside air. Identify and eliminate the leaking place.

Do not inhale petrol fumes - they are poisonous! Avoid contact with petrol on the hot parts and the ignition system. Flammable!

  1. Check idle speed.
  1. If the value is not correct, adjust the idle speed adjustment screw -2-.
  1. Check CO content, the required values refer to. At the end of the chapter.
  2. In the event of the CO content of the required value to remove the seal from the adjusting screw. To do this in the seal hole, screw suitable screws or screw screw and remove the screw together with the seal. If necessary, remove the seal with forceps.
