Covers cast holes




6-cylinder engine

Alloy openings arranged laterally of the engine block. They are connected with coolant channels and tin lids closed. If the low temperature liquid freezes, tin lid is pressed. So prevents damage to the engine block. Leaking covers cast holes must be replaced.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the machine parts that prevent access to the appropriate cover cast holes.
2. Insert a screwdriver or chisel on the narrow edge of the cover.
3. Gently bumped into the locking cap (121) on the one hand as long as it does not turn by 90 ?�.
4. Turn the cover pull using tongs.
5. Carefully clean the hole of the molten fat. Sealing surface (arrow) must be free of deposits.
6. Cover the sealing surface with sealant (eg, Loctite N241 or Curil).
7 will drive a new sealing cap suitable pin. Allow to cure the sealant in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions (about 45 min.).
8. Place the disassembled parts of the unit.
9. Fill up with coolant.
10. Warm up the engine, check the coolant level and sealing lids of cast holes.
