Hydraulic bucket tappets

All engines are equipped with hydraulic bucket tappets. This reduces the noise in the valve actuator and, in addition, does not require adjustment of valve clearance under maintenance.

When the motor bucket tappets (203) is discharged when the cam (184) camshaft upwards. Spring (d) presses the compensating element (204) and is adjacent to the bottom of the valve stem (195) and above the pressing sleeve (a) pressing on the pusher plate (203) in the direction of the camshaft. In this position the engine oil through a small hole (e) flows into or flowing out from the working chamber (s). Once again the pusher plate is discharged through the rotation of the rotating cam of the camshaft closes the ball valve (b), and a closed oil acts as a rigid body. The length (L), thereby adjusting for each rotation of the camshaft to corresponding changes in the size of pieces in the valve actuator. Repair pusher plate is not possible.
A warning

Noises in the valve actuator when the engine is started - a normal phenomenon. With the engine stopped, depending on the position of the cam is pushed more or less separate oil from the valve tappet. This causes noise, is a hydraulic pusher when the motor is again filled with oil. Depending on the circumstances, this process may last as long as the engine has warmed up to operating temperature. To ensure perfect operation of the hydraulic tappet in the cylinder head has a locking device recycling oil, which ensures complete emptying oil from the oil passage in the cylinder head when the engine stopped.

Control

Control of hydraulic pusher should be made, if the engine reaches operating temperature continues to noise in the valve actuator.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Pass a warm engine. After reaching the operating temperature of coolant continue driving for 5 km to ensure sufficient engine oil temperature.
2. If the hydraulic pusher is still noise, stop the engine and remove the cylinder head cover.
3. Turn the camshaft so that the cams to be checked cylinder have been directed upwards. To do this, the transmission to idle, apply the parking brake and turn the crankshaft bolt for pulley suitable wrench clockwise.
4. Click on the poppet pusher a wooden or plastic rod downwards. If the pusher plate is moved downward more easily than others, it must be replaced.
