Valves



Withdrawal
A warning

If items control valve will be used again, they must be installed in its place. In order not to confuse parts, fabricate panel for storage.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the cylinder head and place on two wooden coasters.
2. Remove the camshafts.
3. Remove bucket tappets.
4. Designate the valves before disassembly to install them in the assembly in place. To this number the plate valve marker.
5. Remove the valve using existing tensioner spring. In this stretch the spring and remove crackers of the valve stem. Then uncompress the spring and remove the top plate and the valve spring.
6. Remove the valve stem seals.
7. Remove the valve from the cylinder head toward a combustion chamber.
8. Clean the valve. Valves with a plate of burnt, with low height plates, a worn and scratched, replace the rod.
9. In the repair shop can check the valve stem on the allowable runout, which should not be more than 0.03 mm.
A warning

The exhaust valves are filled with sodium. They should not be subjected to soldering, or be used as a working tool (such as an ejector): risk of explosion!



Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before assembly, check valve guide them, if necessary - modify the valve seats.
A warning

If you are installing a new valve, just in case the pre-modify the valve seat.


2. Remove burrs from the valve stem to the contact surface parts of the valve stem.
3. Lightly oil the engine oil valve stem and the valve guide and valve insert.
4. Install the valve stem cap.
5. Install the valve spring.
6. Then set the next valve. This does not confuse the inlet and outlet valves.
7. Set the bucket tappets.
8. Install the camshafts.
9. Install the cylinder head.
