Removing and installing the leading main gear

Front axle

Details of installation of the drive pinion front axle

1 - Build a differential ring gear
2 - Nut
3 - Connection flange
4 - Pinion
5 - tapered roller bearing

6 - Seal
7 - The outer bearing race
8 - Compression ring
9 - Shim

Installation scheme supporting the bridge (3)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the assembly from the front transverse differential ring gear (1) (see. Section Removal and installation of assemblies to brake differential ring gear).
  2. Remove the seal (6) the pinion (4) of the main transfer (see. Section Replacing the seals leading main gear).
  3. Priboltiv to the gear unit support webs (3), depress the pinion gear (4), and - if necessary - to develop a hole in the bridge under the diameter of 11 ÷ 12 mm. If necessary, disassemble the pinion.
  4. Remove the tapered roller bearing (5) and compression ring (8).
  5. Wipe the removed components and visually assess their condition. Replace damaged parts.
  6. Replace the pinion gear (4), after tucking in her pin.
  7. Install new compression ring (8).
  8. Using a suitable mandrel, Put in place a tapered roller bearing (5).
  9. Install the pinion (4) new seals (6).
  10. Using a special dynamometer (001 589 49 21 00), measure the resistance to turning of gears, - if necessary, tighten the nut flange.

If the nut is tightened with excessive force, replace the compression ring (8)!

  1. Replace the assembly of the differential driven gear (1) (see. Section Removal and installation of assemblies to brake differential ring gear).
  2. Check the concentricity of the landing connecting flange, if necessary, make appropriate adjustment (see. Section Checking concentricity landing flanges leading main gear).

Rear Axle

Details of installation of the drive pinion rear axle

1 - box with differential ring gear
2 - Nut
4 - Pinion
5 - Internal tapered roller bearing
6 - Seals

7 - inner bearing outer race
8 - Compression ring
9 - Shim
10 - Connecting flange
12 - Outer tapered roller bearing

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the assembly from the rear transverse differential ring gear (1) (see. Section Removal and installation of assemblies to brake differential ring gear).
  2. Remove the pinion (4) connecting the flange (10).
  3. Remove the seal (6) the pinion (4) of the main transfer (see. Section Replacing the seals leading main gear).
  4. Priboltiv to the gear unit support webs (3), depress the pinion gear (4), complete with a compression ring (8), - in the case of a need to develop a hole in the bridge diameter 11 ÷ 12 mm. If necessary, disassemble the pinion.
  5. Wipe the removed components and visually assess their condition. Replace damaged parts.
  6. Plant on pinion (4) NEW compression ring (8).
  7. Fill the pinion gear (4) in the gear case, after it was put in the pin.
  8. Using a suitable mandrel, Put the outer tapered roller bearing (12).
  9. Install new gaskets (6) (see. Section Replacing the seals leading main gear).
  10. Attach the sprocket (4) connecting flange (10) (see. Section Checking concentricity landing flanges leading main gear).
  11. Measure the resistance of the pinion-rotation (see para. 10 above paragraph in section front axle) and the concentricity of its landing (see. Section Checking concentricity landing flanges leading main gear) - if necessary, make appropriate adjustments.
  12. Replace the assembly of the differential driven gear (1) (see. Section Removal and installation of assemblies to brake differential ring gear).
  13. By evaluating the contact patches check the input main gear engaged, - if necessary, make appropriate adjustment (see. Section Checking concentricity landing flanges leading main gear).
