Details of the valve mechanism - checking
1. When a camshaft bearings on signs of wear or generate replace the cylinder head (see photo). 2. Measure the diameters of the bearing journals and camshaft bearings, identify gaps (photo). Compare the results with the regulations. If at least one of the size is not correct, replace the cylinder head, camshaft or both of these items. 3. Check the beating of the camshaft (see photo). If the heartbeat is not correct, replace the camshaft. 4. Check the wear of the cams, measuring their size and subtracting the standard (see photo). If the wear is higher than normal, replace the camshaft. 5. Check the condition of the surface hydropushers (photo). 6. Check the diameter of the pusher and the conjugate hole in the casing (see photo). Replace pusher or housing if wear exceeds the norm. 7. Check the clearance between the plunger and the bore, which must correspond to the norm, if both parts are not worn. Change the pusher and the housing is recommended together, based on the magnitude of the gap. 8. Check the diameter of the roller and the holes in the yokes, identify gaps (photo). If the diameters and gaps are different from the norm, the roller rocker arm and replace.
