Overview



This part describes the kinds of works on repair of engines V6, performed directly on the vehicle. All operations described below repair implies that the motor is mounted on the vehicle.
The engine has a V- shaped arrangement of cylinders and two heads (one for each cylinder 3) arranged at an angle of 60 ?�. Both camshaft (one per head) are driven by a toothed belt. Adjust the belt tension is provided by a spring-loaded roller eccentric. Transmission from the camshaft to the valve is provided through a rocker mounted on rollers and hydropushers. The valves are self-regulating. Each cylinder is provided for the intake valve 1 and the outlet 1. The crankshaft is cast ductile iron. Crankshaft main bearing caps are molded in a single frame, which is attached to the crankcase (engine block). The ignition distributor is driven by a helical gear, wearing a sock on the left camshaft. Pinion oil pump is wearing a sock on the crankshaft.
