Main and connecting rod bearings - Check and selection

1. Indigenous and connecting rod bearings at engine major repairs must be replaced, but used ones bearings should be carefully checked to restore the general condition of the engine at the time of repair.
2. The reasons for the destruction of the crankshaft bearings are insufficient lubrication due to incorrect assembly (overlapping channels, a small gap), pollution and penetration of foreign particles (delayed replacement of oil and filter, there is a leak), frequent overloading the engine and corrosion (caused by frequent short trips) . Whatever the reason, caused destruction of bearings, it should be eliminated.
3. If the crankshaft will not pereshlifovyvatsya, you must choose the standard bearing size group (after rounding the necks are set only repair bearings). After selection check bearing clearances.

6. On engines V6 numbers must also determine the size groups liners and indigenous support, and then the sum of these numbers (or table) to determine the group of the insert (photo).
