1. Tighten a manual brake, then lift the front of the car and fix on supports. |
2. Remove a corresponding forward wheel. |
3. Replace the wheel bolts washer 10 mm, and screw the bolt into the hole of a brake disk. |
4. Slowly rotate the brake disc so that it can be viewed from both sides. Wear pads on the brake disc must be within acceptable limits. If there are cracks on the disk, the disk must be replaced. |
5. The indicator of hour type check up palpation of a brake disk. The indicator of hour type fix in any convenient place and, turning the brake disk, define its palpation at a distance of 10 mm from the outer edge. |
6. Before checking the heartbeat of the brake disc, make sure that the bearing is in good condition. |
7. Check brake rotor for cracks, especially around the holes for the bolts fastening the wheel, as well as for wear or mechanical damage and, if necessary, replace it. |
| 8. Measure the thickness of the brake disc (arrows indicate the measuring point). |
9. Due to the fact that the perimeter of the brake disc has a step, when measuring the thickness of the brake disc with caliper calipers sponge sheet under two coins. To determine the true thickness of the brake disc caliper readings subtract the thickness of two coins. |
10. Most conveniently and accurately measure the thickness of the brake disc using a micrometer. |
A warning The thickness of the brake disc should be measured at several points around the circumference of the brake disc. For the true thickness of the brake disk is necessary to take the smallest of the measured values.
|
11. If there are scratches or cracks deeper than 0.5mm brake disc must be replaced. |
