Replacing brake pads on a support FN-3



Front brake caliper FN-3

1 - Phillips head screws 4 Nm;
2 - Disc. In need of replacement replace both front brake discs. Before removing the brake disc caliper must be removed;
3 - the brake pads;
4 - spring latch;
5 - the holder of a support;
6 - a support;
7 - a directing bolt, 28 Nm;
8 - a protective casing;
9 - the brake hose with the tip of a hollow bolt, 35 Nm. When replacing brake pads brake hose not to unscrew;
10 - a bolt with a knurled, 125 Nm. Before screwing the bolt clean the bearing surface of the bolt head and the thread;
11 - knuckle;
12 - a bolt with hexagon socket, 8 Nm;
13 - sensor ABS;
14 - partition;
15 - a bolt, 10 Nm;
16 - wheel bearing;
17 - a lock ring;
18 - wheel hub with ABS sensor rotor

PERFORMANCE ORDER

A warning

Be sure to make replacement of all pads on one axis of the car even if deterioration borders were reached only one shoe. If the brake pads will be repeatedly established, before removal they are necessary for marking.


1. Loosen the bolts of the front wheel, then lift the front of the car and fix on supports.
2. Unscrew the bolts and remove the wheel.
3. Remove the dust cover that protects the caliper guide bolts.
4. Using the screwdriver blade as a lever on the outside of the caliper, remove the retaining spring.
5. Remove the caliper guide bolts.
6. Remove the support and, using a soft wire, tie up it to the front of the rack.

A warning

Caliper should not hang on the brake hose. Brake hose should not stretch or be overwound.


7. Remove the outer brake pad to the holder of a support.
8. Pull the inner brake pad, remove spring clamp pads of the caliper piston.
