Removal and installation of cables of a manual brake



Details of the handbrake lever

1 - the handle of the handbrake lever;
2 - safety washer;
3 - facing handbrake lever;
4 - Hexagon nut, 25 Nm;
5 - coupler. For vehicles with armrest;
6 - draft;
7 - compensator;
8 - an adjusting nut;
9 - a bolt;
10 - Brake cable;
11 - the switch of a control lamp of a manual brake

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the back of the center console.
2. Unscrew and remove the handbrake lever.
3. Unscrew the adjusting nut of the handbrake lever so that you can remove the handbrake cables from the equalizer.
4. Disconnect the cable of a manual brake from the equalizer.
Vehicles with rear disc brakes
5. Disconnect the cable from the hand brake lever the back brake mechanism.
Cars with rear drum brakes
6. Remove the brake drum and disconnect a cable of a manual brake from the lever of the brake pads.
7. Lift the rear of the car and fix on supports.
8. Remove the rear wheels.
9. Remove from the handbrake cable holder on the rear beam (arrow A) of the fasteners on the bottom.
10. Remove the handbrake cable in the direction of arrows from the guide tube (1).
11. Remove the handbrake cable from under the car.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Push the cable of a manual brake to the guide tube.
Vehicles with rear disc brakes
2. Connect the cable of a manual brake lever to the rear brake.
Cars with rear brake drums
3. Connect the cable of a manual brake lever to the brake pads and brake drum set.
4. Secure the cable of a manual brake holders rear beam on the underside of the vehicle.
5. Connect the cable of a manual brake compensator handbrake lever and screw the adjusting nut.
6. Adjust the work of a manual brake.
7. Replace the rear of the center console.
