Replacing the rear brake pads on disc brakes



Disc brake rear wheel front wheel drive cars

1 - Phillips head screws 4 Nm;
2 - Disc. In need of replacement replace both rear brake discs. Before removing the brake disc caliper must be removed;
3 - a protective cap. When installing, use a new cap;
4 - Self-locking nut dvenadtsatigrannaya 175 Nm. When you install a new nut should be used;
5 - wheel hub bearing;
6 - a bolt, 60 Nm. The bolt should be installed with a plate spring washer;
7 - partition;
8 - pin hub;
9 - a cable of a manual brake;
10 - rear beam;
11 - sensor ABS;
12 - Allen screw;
13 - a bolt with hexagon 65 Nm;
14 - the holder of a support;
15 - the brake hose. Brake Hose attached hollow screw with seals. Tightening the screws to 35 Nm is produced;
16 - self-locking bolt, 35 Nm. When installing, use a new bolt;
17 - Caliper;
18 - the brake pads;
19 - the clips

A warning

Be sure to make replacement of all pads on one axis of the car even if deterioration borders were reached only one shoe. If Pads will be repeatedly established, before removal they are necessary for marking.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Loosen the screws of the rear wheels, then lift the rear of the car and fix on supports.
2. Remove the rear wheels.
3. Fully release the hand brake. Remove the spring clip (1) that secures the cover of a cable of a manual brake (3). Press the lever (2) in the direction of the arrow and remove the cable from the hand brake lever.
4. Remove the upper and lower caliper mounting bolts. When unscrewing bolts hold the caliper guide pin with a wrench. Do not disconnect from the caliper brake hose.
5. Remove the support and, using a soft wire, tie up it to the body. It does not pull or twist the brake hose.
6. Remove the caliper brake pad holder and the clips.
