Engine cooling system

Coolant - general information

Do not suppose antifreeze hit on open sites of a body and the painted surfaces of the vehicle. Casual splashes immediately wash off with plenty of water. Remember that antifreeze is highly toxic liquid and its hit in an organism even in small amounts is fraught with the most serious consequences, including death. Never leave antifreeze stored in leaky closed container, immediately collect spilled on the floor coolant. Remember that the sweetish smell of antifreeze can draw the attention of children and pets. About disposal of used coolant consult experts SRT - in many parts of the world special points on any reception of working off. In no case do not drain into the sewer and working off the ground!

Recently developed non-toxic antifreeze grade, however, they must be disposed of in an organized manner.

Round the cooling system must be filled with a mixture of water, antifreeze and anti-corrosion agents, preventing the development of corrosion, deposition of salts and also raises the boiling point of the coolant. Further increase in the boiling point of the coolant is ensured by expansion of the liquid during heating. Height overpressure limited built-in radiator cap a two-way valve opening at a pressure of 1.05 kgf / cm 2 (103 kPa) and provides pumping of excess fluid in the expansion tank.

The excess of the boiling point leads to the formation of vapor lock, disrupts the normal circulation of the liquid in the cooling path. Taking this into account, for refilling the cooling system should be at any time of year only use a mixture of the desired composition (see. Specifications of the Head of System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
