Flushing the cooling system path
 | In these models the ability to drain the coolant from the engine block is not provided. |
| - Remove the cover of the thermostat (see. Section Removal and installation of the thermostat).
- Remove the thermostat, then install it on the cover regular place by tightening the fixing bolts with demanded effort.
- Remove protection crankcase.
- Remove the radiator cap, and then open the drain valve (see. and drain the coolant from the radiator into a suitable in terms of capacity.
- Close the drain valve.
- Remove the expansion tank (see. Section Removal and installation of the expansion tank) and repeatedly rinse thoroughly with clean running water.
- Fill the cooling tract clean water.
- Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature. If necessary add to the radiator required amount of water.
- Open the drain valve and start to pour the water out of the system while maintaining its level by topping up the neck of the radiator.
- Continue with this procedure as long as the following from the radiator water is clear and transparent.
- Drain the remaining water, close the drain valve.
- Rinse thoroughly and replace the thermostat.
- Install the surge tank.
- Fill the cooling system with fresh mix (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
- Replace the radiator cap, make sure that there are no signs of coolant leakage, then stop the engine.
