Chamfering the valve seats in the cylinder head / IT valves

Chamfer valve seats with traces of wear or soot may be processed, kept until the maximum allowable size of the processing, the correction angle and width of the facets. Otherwise, replace the cylinder head. Saddle valves can be replaced by conventional means. To process requires a special apparatus. These works must be performed in a specialized workshop. Motor identification, see. Chapter Introduction.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To check the work surface and the chamfer width chamfer valve valve should be covered with a thin layer of "Preussischblau" (Prussian blue) or "Bleiweiss" (white lead). Insert valve and press lightly on the facet of a saddle.

The valve is not rotated. If the color is unevenly distributed, the valve face should be processed further. This should not be exceeded maximum or minimum size of the width of the bevel. See table size valves.

The protrusion of the valves
  1. After chamfering the valve should be checked value of the valve protrusion -L-. If the result is within -a-, the protrusion is normal if the values are within -b-, the magnitude of protrusion should be adjusted by setting the washer to -a- value was reached. -b- If the maximum value is exceeded, the cylinder head must be replaced.
