1. Measure the distance from the pedal to the floor. |
2. If necessary, remove the bottom front panel of the driver's side (see Fig. Subpart 13.26). |
3. Remove the cover in the area of the driver's feet, remove the latch and remove the mat, opening access hatches in the floor-protection coating. |
4. Remove the hatch and check the pedal height. |
5. Compare with the standard value. |
6. If necessary, adjust the pedal, proceed as follows. |
7. Remove the locknut pusher and rotating pusher, set the desired height of the pedal. |
8. Tighten the locknut to the specified torque. |
9. Check the free travel, which is equal to the displacement of the pedal until you feel a slight resistance it go. |
10. After releasing the brake pedal signal should be extinguished. |
11. Otherwise, replace the switch (switch is mounted on the pedal bracket bayonet connection and is not adjustable). |
12. Run the engine at idle, check the height of the pedal is depressed. |
13. If the height is less than normal, the brakes are faulty. |
14. In this case, replace the fluid in the hydraulic drive and remove air. |
15. If this measure does not work, check the condition of the master and wheel cylinders. |
16. After install all removed panels. |
