Checking the axial displacement of the camshaft



Checking procedure
To conduct measurements should be taken at the support elements and roller levers.
Average respective camshaft bearing caps should be installed.

Screw the dial gauge holder VW 387 with an inserted indicator, as shown in Figure 2.80, in the cylinder head and measure the axial displacement.
Border wear max. 0.10 mm.
