Check the liquid level in a tank of the hydraulic drive of the amplifier of a steering
The level of liquid in a tank of hydraulic drive the power steering is necessary to calibrate each day (Fig. 1.230). During this test, the ignition key must be in position ?OFF?. The level of liquid in a tank of hydraulic drive the power steering must be marked on the tank "MAX" ("Max") and ?MIN? (?minimum?).
NOTE Immediately after the engine is started at very low temperatures (below -20 ? C) can sometimes be heard crunching coming from the power steering pump. If, as the engine warms crunch persists, it means the amplifier is operating normally. This is due to the special characteristics of the liquid at very low temperatures. |
Recommended hydraulic drive fluid for the power steering Use fluid type PSF-3.
NOTE Do not start the engine if the fluid reservoir is empty the power steering. |
