Emergency towing

In case of emergency towing when you can not use the services of a tow truck, attach the tow rope or chain to the towing hook at the bottom of the car. Do not attempt to tow the car in such a way on the road, which has no solid surface.
Towing this method should not be applied in case of damage to the wheels, chassis, axles, steering parts or brake system. Before towing, make sure the gear lever is in neutral and the ignition key - in the "ACC" ("Options") (when the engine is not running) or in position ?ON? (?On.") (When the engine is running ). When towing, the driver must be in the vehicle to control it.
When towing the car to the hook at the rear of a vehicle:
- Open the cover of the towing hook by pressing on it with your finger;
- To install the towing hook, turn it clockwise.

ATTENTION
The tow hook must be firmly tightened to the disappearance of the gap in the opening of the towing hook. The tow hook is located in the luggage compartment.
Attach the tow rope, chain or strap to the tow hook on the bottom rear of the vehicle.

NOTE
To avoid serious damage to the vehicle with all-wheel drive (4WD) towing disabled at speeds over 15 km / h over a distance of 1.5 km.
Before towing, check the fluid level in automatic transmission. If it is below the "HOT" ("Hot") on the dipstick, add fluid.

ATTENTION
If the car will not start, it should be borne in mind that the brake booster and power steering do not work, therefore, to manage such a car when the towing would be much harder.
If towing all four wheels touch the ground, the tow rope should be fastened only to the front of the car. Making sure that the transmission is in the neutral position. Tow the car is prohibited at speeds over 30 km / h over a distance of 25 km.
Make sure that the ignition switch is in the "ACC" and the steering is unlocked. The driver must be in the towed vehicle to be able to control the steering wheel and brakes.
