Towing faulty car



If necessary, the towing vehicle must be made professional evacuation. This will prevent damage to the vehicle during its tow. In addition, professionals evacuation familiar with the rules and laws relating to the towing vehicle. The best way to tow the car is transportation on a platform of a special vehicle-towing.

ATTENTION
In the case of improper towing vehicle may be damaged.
Make sure that the shift lever is in neutral (automatic transmission - the selector in position ?�N?�).
In order not to lock the steering, make sure that the ignition switch is in the "ACC".

The car can be towed by lifting the front / rear wheels 1, 2, or on the platform of the car-wrecker 3 (Fig. 1.206).

ATTENTION
Make sure that towing will not be damaged bumper, engine parts, suspension and body at the bottom of the car. Do not tow the vehicle using a lifting hook tow truck.

In the case of the towing vehicle with the front wheels raised, make sure that the parking brake is off.

NOTE
Before towing, check the fluid level in automatic transmission. If it is below the "HOT" ("Hot") on the dipstick, add fluid. If it is impossible to add a liquid, it is necessary to use a truck for towing.

If the items are damaged axle, suspension or the vehicle is towed with the rear wheels raised, use a towing dolly under the front wheels.
On cars with a manual gearbox when towing without a tow truck, set the ignition switch in the "ACC", the gearshift lever - in the neutral position.

ATTENTION
When towing the vehicle without using a tow truck, do not remove the key from the ignition and do not leave it in the position ?�LOCK?�.

On cars with automatic gearbox when towing is required to use the tow truck under the front wheels.
Do not tow a vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission, rear part of the vehicle forward with the rear wheels raised. This could seriously damage the transmission. It is recommended to tow the car with full loading it on the platform of the car-wrecker.

Towing a vehicle with four-wheel drive
A car with four-wheel drive must be towed with a tow truck loading platform or using a tow truck.

ATTENTION
To prevent damage to the system of all-wheel drive, all-wheel drive towing vehicle with raised front or rear wheels is required to use the tow truck.
Make sure that towing will not be damaged bumper, engine parts, suspension and body at the bottom of the car.

Do not tow the vehicle using a lifting hook tow truck.
