Checking and replacing fuses

Replacing the fuse

Cover safety box
Fig. 1.226. Cover safety box

In case of overload the circuit fuse blows, thus preventing damage to the entire harness. (This may be caused by a short circuit or current excessive force). To facilitate the checking of their fuses are located in the relay (Fig. 1.226).

ATTENTION
When replacing a fuse, only use a new fuse-link with the same or a lower value of the nominal current. Do not use wire or fuse-link with a higher rated current. This can lead to serious damage and cause a fire.

Replacing the fuse-link chain accessories

Fuse protecting lighting circuits and other electrical equipment located under the dashboard opposite the driver's seat (Fig. 1.227).

Example serviceable and blown fuse
Fig. 1.228. Example serviceable and blown fuse

Inside the unit is a table protected circuits. If any of the lamps on the car or the electric stopped working, the reason for this may be a blown fuse. If the fuse blows, the metal strip inside will be cut short (Fig. 1.228).
To zament fuse, turn off the ignition and all other switches.
Open the fuse box and check the integrity of each fuse. Remove each fuse by pulling it toward you (to facilitate this operation there is a special fuse puller).
Replace the fuse with a new one with the same rated current. The fuse must be securely inserted. If there is no spare fuse, you can temporarily install a fuse with the same rated current, removing it from the chain of equipment, without which it is possible to temporarily manage (for example, the fuse which protects the circuit radio or cigarette lighter). Do not forget to insert the fuse back shot.

ATTENTION
Blown fuse indicates a fault in an electrical circuit. If newly installed fuses after a short time again burn, you should consult your Hyundai dealer to identify the causes of the problem and fix it. Never install a fuse with a rated current greater than the set technical requirements, as well as any substitute fuses. This can lead to overheating of electrical wiring and cause a fire.

Power Socket

Power Socket

The car is equipped with power connector, which is designed to prevent battery discharge during long-term parking lot (Fig. 1.229).
Turn off the engine.
Extinguish EXTERIOR LIGHTING car.
Open the fuse box located under the dashboard on the driver side, and otsoedenite power plug.
Connecting is done in reverse order.

NOTE
If the power plug is disconnected - will not work Alarm system, audio system, digital clock, interior light, etc. After connect the power supply need to be set:
- Electronic clock;
- Trip computer;
- Climate control;
- Audio.
