The locking system of a full drive 4WD (For models with electronically controlled four-wheel drive 4WD) (optional)

Examples of switching on and off the lock-wheel drive
Fig. 1.189. Examples of switching on and off the lock-wheel drive

4WD wheel drive system allows you to automatically distribute flow of power transmitted to the wheels according to road conditions. In off-road or driving on slippery surfaces, press the lock switch (4WD) to activate the permanent all-wheel drive that allows you to distribute power 50:50 between the front and rear wheels. This warning lamp lights up lock-wheel drive (4WD) on the instrument panel.
This mode of operation will be canceled as soon as the vehicle speed exceeds 30 km / h, and this function is completely deactivated at speeds above 40 km / h. Conversely, function is restored as soon as the speed falls below 40 km / h and fully resumed at a speed below 30 km / h.
To deactivate the lock mode 4WD, re-click on the lock switch 4WD.
Control lamp lock (4WD) on the instrument panel goes out.
After pressing the switch lock 4WD wheel drive when driving on uneven coatings, engine power is equally distributed to the front and rear wheels. Lock 4WD drive is activated when the speed is below 40 km / h.
When driving on a smooth cover, turn off the blocking of the drive wheel drive 4WD.
