If the vehicle is equipped with a manual gearbox, move the gearshift lever into neutral and fully depress the clutch pedal.
If the car is equipped with an automatic gearbox, move the selector lever to position "P" ("parking").
To start the engine, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to ?START? (?starter"). Release the ignition key immediately after the engine starts. Do not hold the ignition key in position ?START? (?starter") for more than 15 seconds.

NOTE
For security purposes, the motor vehicle can not be started when the selector of an automatic transmission is not in position "P" ("parking") or ?N? (?neutral gear"). (Only cars with automatic gearbox).
