Parking brake

For braking the vehicle parking brake, press the brake pedal while the main move handbrake lever up fully.

Driving with the parking brake applied will result in increased premature wear of the brake linings.

To return to the parking brake lever to its original position should be to raise the lever up slightly, press the button on the end of the lever arm and lower the lever down to its original position.

A warning

Never use the gear change modes or transmission instead of the parking brake. Always lift all the way up the parking brake lever and make sure the mode is enabled in "P" (Park) for models with an automatic transmission or 1st gear or reverse gear for models with a manual transmission.

Control the brake system warning lamp located in the instrument cluster, each time the engine is started. The lamp lights when the engine is running and the parking brake is included.

Before setting off, make sure the parking brake is fully off and warning light brake system.

If the lamp is no longer illuminated after complete return of the parking brake lever in a starting position, which means that the brake system has a fault.

If possible, stop the vehicle immediately. If this is not possible, drive carefully to the nearest safe place or the nearest service station.
