Repair the brake caliper



Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Loosen the bleeder valve and drain the brake fluid from the brake caliper in a suitable container.
2. Remove the dust cover of the piston.

3. Set between the piston and the slide a wooden block.


A warning

On feeding high pressure air for ejecting piston of the cylinder support.

Excessive pressure can squeeze out of the cylinder piston calipers with such force that may cause injury. Do not attempt to catch the piston manually by squeezing it out of the cylinder support.

Compressed air can be used as an alternative for expression of the cylinder piston caliper.

The air supply to the cylinder is carried out through an aperture for connection of a brake hose. The air pressure should be such as to provide an outlet from the cylinder piston caliper.


4. Remove the piston.
5. wooden or plastic rod, remove the piston seal from the hole caliper.
6. Remove the bleeder valve.
7. Remove the plug.

A warning

Do not use oils, solvents, kerosene, or gasoline to clean parts support.

If you use them as a cleaning agent residues can remain on their details and further damage the rubber seals.


8. Rinse the parts slide in pure denatured alcohol and dry them with compressed air.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Apply brake fluid and install the piston seal into the cylinder support.
2. Lubricate the piston with brake fluid and partially install it into the cylinder.
3. Lubricate the piston dust cover and install it on the piston.
4. Push the piston into a support so that it is established in the support cylinder.
5. Replace the bleeder valve.
6. Install the plug.
7. Coat the inner surfaces of the sleeves lubricant contained in the kit for the overhaul.
