Removal, check installation of wheel gauges ABS
The sensors of the front wheels Withdrawal | - Disconnect the sensor wiring connector.
| - Remove the retaining bolt and remove the gauge.
Check | - Post the car above ground and carefully examine the condition of rotors of wheel gauges from the back side of the front hubs - in the case of damaged teeth of the rotor must be replaced (see. Section Replacement rotors front wheel ABS sensors).
| - Measure the clearance between the sensor and the teeth of its rotor - the desired value of 0.3 ÷ 1.0 mm.
- Measure the resistance of the sensor, - the measurement result should not go beyond the range of 1385 ? 110 ohms.
Setting | - Installation is in the reverse order - previously carefully smooth landing surface of the sensor. The required value of the efforts of a tightening of the fastening bolts is 9.5 Nm.
Rear wheel sensor Withdrawal | Rear sensor mounted on the gear unit and the rear axle track momentum driven pinion, - the rotor is mounted on the sensor box transverse differential. |
Check | | - Please rate the condition of the O-rings (1) Sensor, - in case of need make replacement.
| - Measure the distance (A) between the seating surface of the sensor (1) and its toothed rotor (2).
- Measure the length of the sensor (B).
- By subtracting the result of the second measurement result from the first (A - B) determine the value of the working gap - the desired value lies within the range of 0.5 ÷ 1.0 mm.
- If the calculation result is less than 0.55 mm, choose the appropriate thickness shim.
- When the magnitude of the gap over the sensor must be replaced.
- Measure the resistance of the sensor, - the measurement result should not go beyond the range of 1000 ? 50 ohms.
