Removal, check installation of wheel gauges ABS

The sensors of the front wheels

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the sensor wiring connector.
  1. Remove the retaining bolt and remove the gauge.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Post the car above ground and carefully examine the condition of rotors of wheel gauges from the back side of the front hubs - in the case of damaged teeth of the rotor must be replaced (see. Section Replacement rotors front wheel ABS sensors).
  1. Measure the clearance between the sensor and the teeth of its rotor - the desired value of 0.3 ÷ 1.0 mm.
  1. Measure the resistance of the sensor, - the measurement result should not go beyond the range of 1385 ? 110 ohms.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Installation is in the reverse order - previously carefully smooth landing surface of the sensor. The required value of the efforts of a tightening of the fastening bolts is 9.5 Nm.

Rear wheel sensor

Withdrawal

Rear sensor mounted on the gear unit and the rear axle track momentum driven pinion, - the rotor is mounted on the sensor box transverse differential.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Please rate the condition of the O-rings (1) Sensor, - in case of need make replacement.
  1. Measure the distance (A) between the seating surface of the sensor (1) and its toothed rotor (2).
  1. Measure the length of the sensor (B).
  2. By subtracting the result of the second measurement result from the first (A - B) determine the value of the working gap - the desired value lies within the range of 0.5 ÷ 1.0 mm.
  3. If the calculation result is less than 0.55 mm, choose the appropriate thickness shim.
  4. When the magnitude of the gap over the sensor must be replaced.
  5. Measure the resistance of the sensor, - the measurement result should not go beyond the range of 1000 ? 50 ohms.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Installation is in the reverse order - previously carefully smooth landing surface of the sensor. The required value of the efforts of a tightening of the fastening bolts is 9.5 Nm.
