Removing and installing driver's airbag module
Details of installation of the module driver's front airbag
| - Install the front wheels in the straight-ahead position.
- Remove the four bolts securing the airbag module at the rear of the steering wheel.
- Pull over, release the airbag module from its landing nest in the steering wheel.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors connecting the module and the horn switch (first orange, then blue) to the cable drum in the steering wheel hub.
- Finally, remove the air bag module.
- Installation is in the reverse order - make sure that the front wheels have been deployed in the straight-ahead position. First, connect the blue connector wiring of the airbag module, then orange horn.
 | Both connectors are equipped with the guide keys, ensuring the uniqueness of the connection - do not use force. Make sure that the fastening screws have been tightened with demanded effort (8 ÷ 12 Nm). |
