Replacement lamps and check of serviceability of functioning of external lighting



Headlights

Replacing bulbs

Halogen bulbs are filled with pressurized gas and in case of damage can "explode"! Try not to touch the bulb with bare hands - left grease stains on the glass can cause lamp failure due to local overheating. For added safety when servicing halogen lamps should wear protective goggles!


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Open the hood.
  1. Disconnect supplied to the rear side of the headlight wiring.
  1. Remove the rubber boot.
  1. Release the wire spring clamp.
  1. Release the lamp of the three slots in the assembly of the headlight and replace her replacement.
  2. Installation is the reverse order of dismantle of components, - track reliability of fixing components.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Using an ohmmeter, check the distribution of conductivity between terminals pin wiring the headlight harness side in different positions of the lever of the left column stalk (see. Table). In case of need make necessary corrections / replace the steering column switch assembly.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. The front combination lamps placed on the outside of headlight units and serve as indicators and parking / side lights.
  1. Open the hood and locate the appropriate corner of the engine compartment white plastic ring.
  1. Pull the ring release the mudguard wing of a spring clamp.
  2. Carefully remove the front combination lamp assembly.
  1. Turning counterclockwise until locking tabs align with the mating slots, remove the lamp assembly with a cartridge fitted in a lamp.
  1. Pressing and rotating the bayonet cap lamp fitted, remove it from the cartridge.
  2. Put into the cartridge replacement lamp and reassemble the flashlight, - operates in the reverse order of dismantle of components.

For latching spring retainer assembly again pull the plastic ring.

  1. Using an ohmmeter, check the distribution of conductivity between the terminals of the front connector wiring combination lamp harness side in different positions of the lever of the left column stalk (see. Table). In case of need make necessary corrections / replace the steering column switch assembly.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Using a small screwdriver, gently drown central pin mounting clips back cover stoplight top level.
  1. Remove the retaining clips and remove the cover, - try not to lose the components clamps.
  1. Turning 1/4 turn counterclockwise, release the cartridge been inserted into the lamp from the lamp reflector assembly.
  1. Pull, pull the leg out of the cartridge and install in its place a replacement.
  2. Installation is the reverse order of dismantle of components.

Convertible models

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Turn out fixing screws and remove the lamp lens assembly.
  1. Carefully remove the lamp from the housing and turning the cartridge 1/4 turn counter-clockwise to release it from the reflector.
  1. Pressing and rotating, remove the cap equipped with a bayonet-type bulb from the socket and install in its place a replacement.
  2. Installation is the reverse order of dismantle of components.

  1. Pulling on the provided recess, gently remove the access door to the rear speakers.
  1. Depressing the locking tab disunite pin connector wiring.
  1. Give four nuts lamp assembly.
  1. Remove the lamp with a body panel of the car.
  1. Align the locking tabs with the mating grooves, remove the faulty bulb and install in its place a replacement.
  1. Installation is the reverse order of dismantle of components.

Convertible models

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the cover to access the rear combination lamps.
  1. Depressing the locking tab disunite pin wiring, then release the four mounting screws and remove the lamp assembly.
  1. Align the locking tabs with the mating grooves, remove the faulty bulb and install in its place a replacement.
  1. Installation is the reverse order of dismantle of components.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Using an ohmmeter, check the distribution of conductivity between the wiring terminal connector rear combination lamp harness side in different positions corresponding to the switches / sensors-switches (see. Table). In case of need make necessary corrections / replace defective elements.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the two fixing screws and remove the defective lens lantern light plate.
  1. Pulling down, release the bulb holder from lamp assembly, then remove (also simply pull the bulb down) out of it and set the bulb in its place shift.
  1. Replace the lamp holder and lens, screw the mounting screws.
