Replacement seals crankshaft

Front oil seal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

The front oil seal is placed in a slot in the housing of the oil pump.
Remove the pump assembly (see. Section Removal, installation and maintenance of the oil pump).
Hooked soft cloth wrapped screwdriver, remove the seal from its landing slot.
Manually Fill the new oil seal in the mounting slot in the unit.

By means of a suitable press and a mandrel (rod or tube section external diameter of 45 mm) in a plant oil seal slot flush with the surface of the pump housing, - the mandrel abuts only in the end surface of the gland solid.

Installation is in the reverse order. Do not forget to follow the requirements of Specifications of the Head engine to the efforts of a tightening of threaded fasteners.

Rear oil seal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Rear oil seal is seated in the rear engine cover.
The procedure is similar to the procedure described above for the petrol models (see. Section Replacing crankshaft seals).
