Change of oil
To change the oil need the following tools: - Inspection pit or a hydraulic lift with supports.
- Special tool to loosen the oil filter (oil filter tongs, clamping strap wrench or tool HAZET 2172).
- Set Socket for reducing the oil drain plug, and the receptacle 6 for collecting the oil L.
You need the following wear parts: - Gasket for oil drain plugs (sometimes applied to the oil filter).
- The oil filter cartridge. When purchasing spare indicate model and year of manufacture.
- Depending on the engine 3 to 4 liters of engine oil. Use only oil recommended by MAZDA, see. Chapter Engine lubrication system.

Change the oil every 10,000 km, from the diesel engine every 5,000 km. With rare trips, change the oil once a year. At the same time the oil filter replaced. In severe conditions, driving short segments of frequent cold starts and dusty streets, the engine oil and oil filter should be replaced at shorter intervals.  | Old oil must be put in special items. Under no circumstances should not be allowed to throw out the old oil, or household waste. |
Drain the engine oil For petrol engine  For the diesel engine  | - Bring the engine oil up to operating temperature (min. 60 ?� C), it is necessary to travel 10 - 15 km.
- Raise the vehicle in a horizontal position.
- Place a pan under the container to collect the oil.
- Unscrew the filler cap.
- Remove the bolt on the bottom of the drain pan and drain all the old oil.
| If the oil traces of metal chips and wear products in large quantities, it indicates rust damage, such as damage of the crankshaft or the connecting rod bearing. To avoid subsequent damage to be renovated thoroughly clean engine oil channels. |
- Set screw drain plug with a new seal and screw with a force of 40 Nm.
