The propeller shaft, gearbox and rear axle - an overview

On cars the two-piece driveshaft with an average support and three universal joints Transmission, rear axle and on the middle pole. The hinges can be replaced individually. The propeller shaft is balanced at the factory, the assembly is not allowed to violate its original orientation relative to the other parts.
Rear Axle composed of beams, and the gear axis. The gearbox transmits the rotation from the propeller shaft to the wheels and is mounted in the middle part of the bridge. Semiaxes have a splined inner end, which are inserted into slots leading gears of the differential gear. The outer closure semiaxes rotate in the bearings of the rear wheels. Disassembly and repair of the gear unit are carried out in the service station.
