Diesel engines
Diesel fuel DIN EN 590. The cetane number is not less than 49. Fuel PME (biodiesel) in accordance with DIN 51 606.
Cars with diesel engine can operate on fuel RME (maslorastitelnom methyl ester).
About where you can refuel PME can cope in the service enterprise a Volkswagen, or in the local automobile clubs. Features fuel PME
Fuel PME obtained from a vegetable oil (preferably rapeseed oil) by a chemical process in which vegetable oil and methanol with a catalyst converted into fuel PME.
PME fuel contains almost no sulfur. Therefore, during the combustion of the fuel is almost released sulfur dioxide.
The combustion products contain less carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons, - solid particles (e.g. carbon black) than is obtained by the combustion of conventional diesel fuel.
The content of harmful substances in the exhaust gas is less than the stipulated regulations.
Fuel PME easily biodegradable.
Fuel PME retains sufficient fluidity to a temperature of about 10 ? C.
When the outdoor temperature is below 10 ? C is necessary to refill the fuel tank diesel fuel to prevent flocculation in biodiesel. The ratio of diesel and biodiesel in the mixture should be about 50:50.
Fuel PME can be mixed in any proportion with conventional diesel fuel.
There may be only a slight deterioration trailer dynamic qualities of the car.
Fuel PME may be somewhat higher. Operation in winter conditions
When using summer diesel fuel at ambient temperatures below 0 ? C may encounter disruptions to the engine as fuel due to loss of paraffin becomes viscous.
Therefore, during the cold period of the year are used winter diesel fuel, which, depending on its grade ensures uninterrupted operation of the engine at a temperature of -15 ? C or to -22 ? C.
In countries where climatic conditions are different from other varieties of diesel fuel, most of which are other than the above temperature limits their application. The required information used in this country grades of diesel fuel are available in the service enterprise a Volkswagen or refueling stations.
