When handling brake fluid, consider the following:

  • Brake fluid is poisonous. In no case can not suck the brake fluid through the hose mouth. Pour brake fluid in the blood vessels, designed exclusively for it.
  • Brake fluid corrodes and is therefore exposed to undue lacquer surface, if necessary, immediately wipe and rinse with plenty of water.
  • Brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture from the air. Therefore, the brake fluid to be stored in a closed vessel.
  • Brake fluid, which has been used in the system, the second time shall not be filled. Also, when pumping refill only fresh brake fluid.
  • Specification of brake fluid: FMVSS 116 DOT 3 or SAE J 1703.
  • Brake fluid must not come into contact with grease, and mineral oil. Even small traces of mineral oil brake fluid make unusable or lead to a brake system failure.
  • Brake fluid should be replaced every 2 years, as far as possible after the end of the winter season.
  • Old brake fluid over to the specified items are not empty into drains. Do not mix brake fluid from the engine oil.
