Removing and installing brake light switch



Check the brake light switch, see chap. Electrical system.

The brake light switch is on the brake pedal on the pedal.

Withdrawal

A - Brake light switch
B - locknut

C - push rod
D - locknut


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Switch off the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the plug from the brake light switch.
  3. Loosen the lock nut and unscrew the switch.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Measure the height of the pedal to the floor. Required value, see. Section Specifications of brake system.
  2. If the pedal height does not correspond to the desired value, adjust the height of the pedal and play in the studio.
  3. Screw in the stop lamp switch until it touches the pedal, and then tighten a further half turn. Tighten the lock nut.
  4. Insert the plug and switch on the ignition.
  5. Squeeze the brake pedal at the same time ask the assistant to watch the stoplights. Even with slight pressure on the pedal, they should be involved, otherwise adjust the switch, respectively.
